The Maurivin wine yeast range has been trusted and used by world-leading wine producers for over 25 years.
The focus of the Maurivin range is to offer winemakers a consistent fermentation profile and the creation of aroma and flavour characteristics of ‘New World wine styles’.
The Maurivin range has been specifically developed by AB Biotek’s own oenologists in conjunction with our research partners such as The Australian Wine Research Institute to benefit our customers operating with modern-day wine practices.
The experience and knowledge which has created the Maurivin yeast range has been gained from over 150 years operating in ingredients technologies and in fermentation, with support from world-renowned wine research institutions and our customers.
Over the past 25 years there has been significant growth in the consumption of wines which have offered new experiences in terms of fuller body, bold fruit flavours and higher alcohol.
This trend has resulted in the emergence of globally popular wine varietals with distinctive appeal. This remains strong and is attracting more winemakers globally to diversify their wines beyond their traditional styles.
Our range of ‘Classic’ and ‘Next Generation’ wine yeasts has been selected to provide winemakers with the tools to create ‘New World wine styles’ and flavours in addition to reliability and consistency of fermentation required by high throughput wineries. The new range of yeast, tannins, bacteria, enzymes, fermentation aids and polysaccharides has been selected to compliment the Maurivin yeast range properties and performance.
